Craftsman House Love.
November 26, 2015
This fabulous Bay View Craftsman House has great bones.
It was a purchase knowing they could not move in right away.
Those original bones had knob and tube wiring, galvanized plumbing, one bathroom and a 1965 kitchen.
We are currently rewiring, new copper, adding a gorgeous 1/2 bath on 1st floor, whole new amazing kitchen, new flow and with all new for the 2nd floor bath.
Saving the fab maple floors on 2nd floor was possible, new hand-scraped hardwood on 1st floor.
The bulkhead on the stairs was raised 18″.
There is nothing we can’t do.
It’s Craftsman love.

Out goes the 1965 kitchen

the 1965 kitchen

1965 reno cut through 4 floor joists holding up the 2nd floor bathroom. This is a super no-no. It is a miracle the toilet and tub were still on the 2nd floor.

Living Room/Dining Room lost the drop ceiling and new floors

Pre demo lv/dr paneling, drop ceilings and narrow doorways

….and we found a window in the dining room

love notes from the previous owners

…..and we found a door. Closed up as quickly as we found it.

2nd floor bath demo

2nd floor bath new flow and it will have storage!

2nd floor bath pre new flow and demo

Kitchen ready for cabinets and flooring

We raised that entrance, opened it up, added A LOT more cabinets, dishwasher, disposal, new lighting, marble tops

Such gorgeous handscraped hardwood floors-5″ wide

Fun wallpaper for the new 1st floor powder room

Kitchen is getting there

2nd floor bath getting a serious redo, more love, more storage, looking smoking hot

Oh that 1st floor powder room, divine floor to go with that awesome vanity and wallpaper. ….and 5″ crown moulding
